I’ve left lots of options in the recipe card – how to make them using molds OR just a square pan and different types of juices you can use. Be sure to check out all my other homemade gummy recipes!

Urolithin A benefits
So, what is Urolithin A? It is a beneficial postbiotic that your gut naturally creates when it breaks down ellagitannins—the compounds found abundantly in foods like pomegranates, certain nuts, and berries. It supports healthier mitochondria by encouraging mitophagy, the process of clearing out damaged mitochondria. In turn, this can help promote healthy aging, boost muscle strength, enhance endurance, and may even support sharper cognition and a stronger immune system. Essentially, it’s an amazing addition to your diet to improve cellular health.
You can take it as a supplement (I actually take this one and love it) but high quality supplements can get expensive. So if it’s not in your budget, this recipe is a fun way to get it in your daily diet!
Benefits of grass-fed collagen
Grass-fed gelatin comes from pasture-raised cattle and delivers a concentrated source of protein—mainly Type 1 and Type 3 collagen. It can help keep joints flexible, support a healthy gut lining, and maintain smooth, firm skin. This form of gelatin also contributes to stronger bones, hair, and nails, while aiding digestion and post-workout recovery. Overall, it’s a clean, nutrient-rich ingredient that’s incredibly versatile in everyday recipes.
Ingredients you’ll need
You only need 4 simple ingredients to make these gummies!
- Grass-fed gelatin
- 100% Pomegranate juice, beet root juice (optional): I like to use a mix of both to get the urolithin A benefits as well as antioxidants (betalains), iron, potassium, and vitamins A and C from beets!
- Manuka honey: known for it’s antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to promote wound healing, soothe sore throats, improve digestive health, and enhance skin by fighting acne and reducing inflammation.

Steps to make homemade skin & hair gummies
- Place silicone molds on a flat cookie sheet. Alternatively, you can use a square baking dish and cut the mixture into gummies once they’re set.
- In a small saucepan, combine the pomegranate juice and honey. Whisk together over low heat.
- Next, whisk in the gelatin one tablespoon at a time, making sure each tablespoon is fully dissolved in the liquid before adding the next. Heat the mixture until steaming hot but not boiling, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the lime juice.
- Use a dropper or a small spoon to fill the molds. Alternatively, pour the entirety of the hot liquid into a baking pan.
- Place molds or baking pan into the refrigerator to set.
- After the gummies firm up—usually around 30 minutes, depending on your mold size—pop them out and transfer them to an airtight container. Keep them in the refrigerator, where they’ll stay fresh for up to a week.
Recipe variations & TIps
- Be sure to use gelatin, not just collagen. This is what creates the gummy texture!
- You can substitute any other flavor of 100% juice (i’d recommend a berry blend!)
- I make a lot of gummies and find these droppers so useful! They’re inexpensive too!
- I prefer larger gummies and love these molds!
How to store Skin & hair gummies
Store them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator, where they’ll stay fresh for up to a week! Do not freeze them!
