Benefits of apple cider vinegar
- Supports Healthy Digestion: Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, which can help improve the acidity of your stomach. This may enhance digestion, reduce bloating, and support better nutrient absorption—especially when taken before meals.
- Balances Blood Sugar: Several studies suggest that ACV can reduce post-meal blood sugar spikes by improving insulin sensitivity. This makes it particularly helpful for people with insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes (always consult a doctor before using therapeutically).
- Promotes Gut Health: Unfiltered ACV contains probiotics and enzymes that may support the gut microbiome, especially when it includes the “mother”—a collection of beneficial bacteria and proteins.
- Aids in Weight Management: ACV may increase feelings of fullness and satiety, potentially reducing calorie intake. It can also help regulate blood sugar, which supports healthy weight loss over time.
Benefits of grass-fed Gelatin
Grass-fed gelatin has many benefits including:
- Healthy, glowing skin: gelatin provides necessary proteins that improve your skin’s moisture & elasticity
- Heals the intestinal track by coating and calming irritation and inflammation
- Supports mobility through the promotion of healing in your connective tissues
- Helps joint and cartilage health, as it contains supportive proteins
- Improved bone health
- Contains a wonderful amino acido profile
- Helps repair the gut lining – the perfect recipe for anyone dealing with leaky gut, etc.

Not all gelatin is created equal – Why choose grass-fed vs Grain-fed
Grass-fed gelatin is partially hydrolyzed collagen extracted from grass-fed beef. To begin, the collagen is boiled at temperatures higher than 40 degrees Celsius, which breaks it down into smaller chains known as gelatin. After it is cooled, gelatin takes on a jelly-like form.
These homemade apple cider vinegar gummies are paleo-friendly, naturally sweetened, and packed with gut-friendly collagen from grass-fed gelatin.

Ingredients
Each ingredient in this recipe serves a purpose:
- Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother): Supports digestion, stabilizes blood sugar, and may enhance weight management.
- Organic Apple Juice: Adds natural sweetness and a dose of antioxidants.
- Organic orange juice: packed with vitamin C, the orange juice also adds some extra flavor & sweetness to the gummies, helping to cut some of the tang from the vinegar.
- Grass-Fed Gelatin: Rich in collagen, supports healthy skin, joints, and gut lining.
- Raw Honey: Contains enzymes and minerals while naturally sweetening the gummies.
steps to make homemade apple cider vinegar gummies
- Bloom the gelatin: In a large bowl, add the apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup apple juice, and honey. Sprinkle the gelatin over top and let it sit for a few minutes to “bloom”.
- Heat the rest of the juice: It’s important to warm up the juice a bit so that the gelatin mixes in completely and the gummies don’t become grainy. Add the remaining 1 cup of juice to a heat-safe bowl or to a small saucepan. Microwave for 30-45 seconds, until just warm. Then add the warm juice to the gelatin mixture and whisk well until no lumps remain. If you have stubborn lumps you can add the mixture to a blender & blend for a few seconds or just remove the clumps with a spoon.
- Pour into molds: Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a greased dish.
- Chill until set: Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm. Once set, remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Tips for Success
- Spray your molds with avocado oil spray (or similar) before pouring in the gelatin juice mixture in, to prevent the gummies from sticking & make popping them out easier!
- Use raw, unfiltered ACV with the mother for maximum benefits.
- Avoid boiling the juice—it can damage the enzymes in the honey and vinegar.
- Silicone molds make removing the gummies easy and fun (try fruit-shaped ones!).
FAQs
- How many gummies should I eat a day? Start with 1–2 gummies daily and see how your body responds. Always consult your doctor if you’re on medication or have a health condition.
- Can I use another sweetener? Yes, maple syrup or coconut nectar can work if you prefer a vegan option.
- What If I don’t like the flavor of vinegar? Most store-bought gummies are just sugar bombs in disguise and don’t even contain enough ACV for true benefits. I wanted these gummies to ACTUALLY contain a good bit of apple cider vinegar per gummy so you get some benefits. Therefore, they will have a slightly tart/vinegar flavor, but if you want them sweeter, you can reduce the apple cider vinegar to 1/3 cup and increase the total apple juice to 1 2/3 cup OR you can add extra honey or even liquid monk fruit drops for a sugar-free option.

Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies Recipe
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup organic apple juice
- 3/4 cup organic orange juice
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp honey *see notes
- 3 tbsp grass-fed gelatin
Instructions
- Bloom the gelatin: In a large bowl, add the apple cider vinegar, 3/4 cup orange juice, and honey. Sprinkle the gelatin over top and let it sit for a few minutes to "bloom".
- Heat the rest of the juice: It's important to warm up the juice a bit so that the gelatin mixes in completely and the gummies don't become grainy. Add the apple juice to a heat-safe bowl or to a small saucepan. Microwave for 45-60 seconds, until just warm or heat on the stove top until just warm. Don't boil it.
- Then add the warm juice to the gelatin mixture and whisk well until no lumps remain. If you have stubborn lumps you can add the mixture to a blender & blend for a few seconds or just remove the clumps with a spoon. The mixture should be very smooth & not grainy. If it's grainy, the juice should have been heated longer!
- Pour into molds: Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a greased dish.
- Chill until set: Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm. Once set, remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- note: these are naturally sweetened from the fruit juices and little bit of honey but will be tangy because of the ACV.

These were a hit with our kids!! Thank you!
Hi katy! Yay, i’m so happy to hear it – best stamp of approval 😉 Thanks so much for trying them!
I want to make these. Could I use my homemade kombucha instead of ACV? Can I add ginger/tumeric/pepper to help with inflammation?
and use either electrolyte water or coconut water instead of plain water?
Hi Misty! I haven’t tried using Kombucha – I know it’s fizzy and am not sure how/if that would affect the recipe at all but it’s definitely worth a try! Ginger/turmeric in powder form shouldn’t affect them at all either. And yes, any of those water options would work i’m sure! I haven’t tried any of these, so I can’t say for sure, but don’t see why it wouldn’t!Let me know if you try them!
