Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup organic apple juice
  • 3/4 cup organic orange juice
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp honey *see notes
  • 3 tbsp grass-fed gelatin

Instructions

  • Bloom the gelatin: In a large bowl, add the apple cider vinegar, 3/4 cup orange juice, and honey. Sprinkle the gelatin over top and let it sit for a few minutes to "bloom".
  • Heat the rest of the juice: It's important to warm up the juice a bit so that the gelatin mixes in completely and the gummies don't become grainy. Add the apple juice to a heat-safe bowl or to a small saucepan. Microwave for 45-60 seconds, until just warm or heat on the stove top until just warm. Don't boil it.
  • Then add the warm juice to the gelatin mixture and whisk well until no lumps remain. If you have stubborn lumps you can add the mixture to a blender & blend for a few seconds or just remove the clumps with a spoon. The mixture should be very smooth & not grainy. If it's grainy, the juice should have been heated longer!
  • Pour into molds: Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a greased dish.
  • Chill until set: Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm. Once set, remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • note: these are naturally sweetened from the fruit juices and little bit of honey but will be tangy because of the ACV.

Notes

I wanted these gummies to ACTUALLY contain a good bit of apple cider vinegar per gummy so you get some benefits. Therefore, they will have a slightly tart/vingegary flavor. I actually love it LOL, but if you want them sweeter, you can reduce the apple cider vinegar to 1/3 cup and increase the total juice to 1 2/3 cup OR you can add extra honey or even liquid monk fruit drops for a sugar-free option.
Tips:
  • Spray your molds with avocado oil spray (or similar) before pouring in the gelatin juice mixture in, to prevent the gummies from sticking & make popping them out easier!
  • Use raw, unfiltered ACV with the mother for maximum benefits.
  • Avoid boiling the juice—it can damage the enzymes in the honey and vinegar.
  • Silicone molds make removing the gummies easy and fun (try fruit-shaped ones!).
