Why You’ll Love Raspberry Matcha Frozen Yogurt Bites
Raspberry Matcha Frozen Yogurt Bites are a fun and healthy alternative to traditional frozen desserts. Here are a few reasons why you’ll love them:
- Packed with Antioxidants: Matcha is known for its high antioxidant content, which helps boost metabolism and protect against free radical damage. Combined with raspberries, which are rich in vitamin C and fiber, and yogurt which is rich in probiotics and protein, these frozen bites are a nutritious powerhouse!
- Low in Sugar: Unlike many store-bought frozen desserts, these yogurt bites are naturally sweetened with fresh raspberries and a touch of honey, making them a healthier option.
- Easy to Make: This recipe is simple and requires only a few ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen and can be whipped up in just a few minutes! The only time consuming part is testing your patience while they firm up in the freezer 😉

Ingredients
Here’s a look at the ingredients you need to make Frozen Yogurt Bites so you know what to have on hand and ready to go.
- Yogurt – It’s important to use a thick yogurt for the creamiest texture! Greek yogurt is a great high protein option and coconut yogurt works best for dairy-free and vegan diets! I love the brands Culina and CocoJune.
- Cashew butter or almond butter – These are both more neutral flavored so they work great for clusters with any type of berry! However, if you prefer peanut butter, that works too! Sunflower seed butter or granola butter are great nut-free options!
- Fresh or frozen berries – Feel free to use your favorite berries! Blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries are all delicious! You can even go out of the box and use cubed mango, pineapple, etc.
- Honey or maple syrup – We will add just a dash to sweeten the yogurt slightly! If you want to keep these sugar-free, you can use a few drops of liquid monk fruit!
- Chocolate – the chocolate creates a magic-shell like coating that is crunchy and delicious! The white chocolate pairs wonderfully with berries. I have a few white chocolate brands I like. For vegan/dairy-free, Pascha is great. Lily’s, ChocZero, and Bake Believe all make sugar-free white chocolate. Evolved chocolate makes paleo white chocolate!
- Matcha – this is totally optional, but adds some polyphenols (powerful antioxidant) and a beautiful, vibrant color to the coating of the yogurt bites! You can’t taste it, either!
- Optional garnishes – freeze-dried fruit, granola, chocolate chips or cacao nibs, chopped nuts, etc.

Steps to make Raspberry frozen yogurt bites
- Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a bowl, add tall of the ingredients besides the fruit, mixing well until smooth and creamy. You can taste the mixture and adjust as you’d like. Then fold in the fresh or frozen berries. Alternatively, you can Mash the Raspberries or swirl in raspberry jam!
- Form the Bites: Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper. Use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to drop spoonfuls of the yogurt mixture onto the tray. You can also use a silicone mold for more uniform bite-sized pieces.
- Freeze: Place the tray in the freezer for at least 1-2 hours or until the yogurt bites are completely frozen.
- Coat in chocolate: Melt the chocolate in a small bowl. You can stir in the matcha powder for color, if using! Dip each bite into the melted chocolate, working quickly, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the bites back in the freezer until the chocolate has set.
- Enjoy: Store your Raspberry Matcha Frozen Yogurt Bites in an airtight container in the freezer. Enjoy them as a quick snack, dessert, or even a pre-workout treat! Let them thaw for 5 minutes or so before eating for the best, creamiest texture!
Health Benefits of Key Ingredients
- Matcha: Matcha, a powdered green tea, is rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, which are known to promote heart health, improve brain function, and help in weight management. The natural caffeine in matcha provides a gentle energy boost, making it a great alternative to coffee.
- Raspberries: Raspberries are a low-calorie fruit packed with nutrients. They are high in fiber, which promotes healthy digestion, and rich in vitamin C, which supports the immune system. Raspberries also contain antioxidants that fight oxidative stress and inflammation in the body.
- Yogurt: Greek yogurt is packed with probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that support gut health. It’s also high in protein, which helps with muscle recovery and keeps you feeling full longer. Choose a low-fat or non-fat version if you’re looking to keep the calories in check.

Raspberry Frozen Yogurt Bites
Ingredients
Yogurt Bites
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla or plain THICK greek yogurt or coconut yogurt *other yogurts may not create the creamiest texture!
- 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp cashew butter or almond butter *optional but I find it to create a creamier cluster!
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup fresh or frozen berries *I used raspberries
Chocolate coating
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1-2 tsp matcha powder (optional!)
- 2 tsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Add the yogurt, honey, nut butter, & vanilla extract to a large bowl. Mix well until thick and creamy, then fold in the berries. You can taste the mixture & adjust as you'd like.
- Scoop the mixture (about 2 tbsp each) onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet or large plate to form clusters. Then place them in the freezer for at least 1-2 hours to allow them to firm up comletely.
- When the clusters are frozen, melt the chocolate. Add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 15 or 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth. Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer and quickly dip each one into the melted chocolate.
- Return to the baking sheet or plate. Place the chocolate covered clusters back in the freezer until the chocolate has hardened, before moving them to an air-tight container for long term storage.
- These need to be stored in the freezer, however I recommend letting them thaw at room temp for 5 minutes or so before enjoying for the creamiest consistency and to avoid that icy texture.
