Ingredients you’ll need

  • Chia seeds:  a dense source of fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and antioxidants that support heart health, aid digestion, and promote satiety for weight management.
  • Flax seeds: packed with omega-3 fatty acids (ALA), fiber, and lignans that promote heart health, improve digestion, and may reduce cancer risk.
  • Milk, of choice: the creamier, the better!
  • Sweetener: feel free to use your favorite. I opt for monk fruit drops, but you can also use maple syrup, honey, etc.
  • Protein powder: use your favorite (preferably one you like the flavor of!). I used Macro Mike vanilla buttercream.
  • Cinnamon: rich in antioxidants with significant health benefits, including regulating blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing inflammation, and lowering risk factors for heart disease like cholesterol and blood pressure.
  • Vanilla extract & sea salt:
  • Toppings, of choice:

Steps to make chia & flax pudding

  1. In a small, deep pan over medium heat, add the milk, followed by all the remaining ingredients. Whisk really well to make sure there are no clumps of protein.
  2. Heat & stir until pudding is thick (about 3 minutes). Add more liquid if needed and continue stirring. You can really make it to your preferred consistency (much like you would oatmeal!).
  3. Top with nuts, berries, hemp seeds, nut butter, etc. Best enjoyed warm!’

Topping ideas

  • Berries: Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc. They’re packed with antioxidants & fiber!
  • Chopped nuts: Cashews, brazil nuts, walnuts, pecans, etc.
  • Nut butter: I love drizzling nut butter over my bowl!
  • Honey: a drizzle of honey adds a touch of sweetness!
  • Granola

Helpful tips

  • This pudding will continue to thicken as it sits, so the texture really depends on when you dig in. If it feels a little too thick for your liking, just splash in a bit more milk to loosen it up.
