Snickers salad
Most Snickers apple salads contain chunks of candy bars in a cool whip and pudding base, but this recipe is made just as delicious without all the added, refined sugar. Kids and adults alike will love this recipe, as it’s the perfect quick dessert, after-school snack, or refreshing summer treat that tastes indulgent but (we know the drill), is secretly packed with better-for-you ingredients!

key ingredients
This creamy dessert salad is the easiest recipe ever! Here are the few ingredients you’ll need (scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for measurements!).
- Apples: Use your favorite variety! I like anything sweet and crunchy. We aren’t adding sweetener, so sweet varieties are best.
- Yogurt: Greek or thick coconut yogurt work best here! I like to use Culina high protein yogurt.
- Peanut butter: natural or crunchy!
- Chocolate chips
- Peanuts (roasted or lightly salted for extra crunch)
- Sea salt: trust me, don’t skip it 😉
Optional add-ins:
- A splash of vanilla
- A drizzle of maple syrup if you want extra sweetness
How to Make Healthy Snickers Apple Salad
This recipe is quick and foolproof:
1. Mix the creamy base
In a bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, maple syrup, warmed milk, & salt until smooth and a caramel-like consistency.
2. Chop the apples & assemble your jar!
Dice apples into small bite-sized cubes for the best texture. Add to a jar. Add the yogurt and give everything a good mix. Fold in the peanut butter caramel, chocolate chips and peanuts.
4. Serve immediately or chill
It’s delicious straight away, but chilling it for 10–15 minutes enhances the flavor.

What Does Healthy Snickers Apple Salad Taste Like?
It’s everything you love about a Snickers bar—but lighter, brighter, and more refreshing.
The yogurt makes it creamy, the apples add crunch, the peanut butter gives that classic candy-bar flavor, and the chocolate chips make every bite sweet and fun. It’s dessert, snack, and fruit salad all in one.
apple salad Variations & Customizations
Make it your own:

- Extra crunchy: Add granola or crushed peanuts
- Sweeter: Add maple syrup or honey
- Lower sugar: Use stevia-sweetened chocolate chips
How to store snickers apple salad
I think it’s best enjoyed within 24 hours but it’ll last up to 2 days in the fridge in an air-tight container! Be sure to give it a good stir each time you serve it!
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make this ahead?
Yes! Mix the creamy base ahead of time and chop apples right before serving to prevent browning.
Will the apples turn brown?
If prepping early, toss the apples in a little lemon juice before adding to the mix.
Can I use powdered peanut butter only?
You can, but combining powdered peanut butter and regular peanut butter gives the best texture and flavor.
