I have a thing for salads – I have on a day. But I’m team no boring salads. They have to have a few components for me to thoroughly enjoy them. First.. textures. I have to have some crunch. I love doing a mix of roasted and raw veg. Next.. it has to have some good protein and healthy fats. Whether it’s in the dressing, a big chunk of avocado, or some sort of seeds. I also love topping my salads with roasted tofu or tempeh. And last, but def not least, is the dressing. It HAS to have a good dressing. And this one.. it’s a top three for me!
What you’ll need to make tahini basil dressing:
Tahini: The star of the show! I love tahini. It adds a perfect, earthy flavor to the recipe. If you really don’t like tahini, you can use cashew butter!
Basil: Load it up! This adds so much flavor to this dressing and basil is packed with antioxidants.
Lemon: This adds some tang to the recipe and pairs so well with tahini and basil.
Olive Oil: Use a high-quality, great tasting Olive oil! I typically try and find Greek olive oil for my salad dressings!
Chives, garlic, sea salt & pepper
Nutritional Yeast: This is a great source of B12, especially for vegans and adds a great flavor to the recipe.
How to make the dressing:
- Pop everything in a blender, blend, and go!
What types of salads can you use this dressing on?
