How to choose the best maple syrup
Not all maple syrup is created equal. For the best flavor and nutritional profile, it’s important you choose a high quality, 100% PURE maple syrup. Some syrup companies will sell maple flavored syrups that aren’t actually even made from maple, but rather sugar, artificial flavors, and high fructose corn syrup (not to call out the pancake syrups we loved as children LOL). Real maple syrup comes from collecting sap from maple trees and boiling it down into pure maple syrup.
Real maple syrup is thicker in consistency and has a way richer flavor and actually contains some nutrients as well (B vitamins, calcium, potassium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, and iron).
