Pumpkin Spice Infused Maple Syrup

1 cup 100% Pure Maple Syrup 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree 1/4 cup water 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice *store-bought or homemade! 1/2 tsp vanilla extract & pinch of sea salt
Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool completely. It thickens up a bit as it cools.
Once cooled, pour the syrup into a glass storage container and store in the fridge for 7-10 days.
Homemade pumpkin pie spice:
3 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground allspice
