ingredients & substitutions

Full ingredients & measurements in recipe card below!

  • Granola: Store-bought or homemade granola will work, but be sure you use a CRUNCHY granola! You can use different flavors of granola to spice things up! I have been loving Purely Elizabeth granola!
  • Sunflower seed butter: You can swap out the sunflower seed butter for any nut or seed butter. I have made these with peanut butter, almond butter, and tahini and they were all great.
  • Maple syrup: This is the sweetener and binder of the recipe. You can sub it out with your favorite sticky sweetener.
  • Chocolate Chips: This is for coating the granola crunch bites. I love Hu Kitchen, as it is refined sugar-free and tastes amazing! You can use the code “danishealthyeats” on their site for a discount!
  • Optional additions: I like to add Maca powder, cinnamon, cacao nibs, etc!

Let’s make some healthy granola bites

  • Step 1: In a large bowl combine the nut or seed butter, sweetener, oil, and granola, mixing well until combined.
  • Step 2: Drop by spoonfuls onto a lined cookie sheet. Place in the freezer for 2-3 hours until completely firm.
  • Step 3: Dip in chocolate! Melt the chocolate in a small bowl. Dip each granola cluster into the chocolate and return to the cookie sheet. Top with sea salt.
  • Step 4: Place back in the freezer for 30 minutes-1 hour to allow the chocolate to firm up. Then move to an air-tight container to store.
