Healthy Homemade Jello (skin benefits!)
Healthy Homemade Jello made with simple ingredients! This easy, homemade Jello recipe is a fun, healthier alternative to traditional Jello and perfect for an easy snack or dessert - packed with collagen-building amino acids, great for anti-aging, skin health!
- 2 cups brewed tea of choice, warm *I like using hibiscus or green tea for their health benefits!
- 2 tbsp grass-fed gelatin
- green grapes or fruit of choice (optional) *highly recommend the green grapes!
- 1-2 electrolyte packets (optional) See notes below for the low-sodium brand I use. This is how you can add lots of flavor without needing artificial flavorings.
- additional sweetener of choice (optional. honey, stevia drops, etc.)
Brew your tea. Add tea bags (i use 2) in 2 cups of hot water. After 10 minutes, remove the bags.
Sprinkle the gelatin and electrolyte powder over top, then whisk in until no lumps remain. If you have any clumps, simply remove them or strain them out. You can add additional sweeteners now, if desired.
Add the grapes or berries to the bottom of your mold. Then pour the gelatin. mixture over top.
Place the mold in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours, until completely firm. Be sure to give it enough time to fully set up or it can fall apart.
Once set, remove from the mold and cut into squares. Store in an air-tight container or baggy!
I use Just Ingredients electrolytes because they add a ton of flavor without having too much sodium! Raspberry lemonade is amazing! You can use my code "DANIBREINER" for a discount!
I love Further Foods gelatin!
