  • Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn. Gently toss until every piece is lightly coated.
  • Sprinkle the strawberry mixture over top. Toss until every piece is evenly coated. Place the bowl in the fridge to allow it to cool. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Can I make this dairy-free/vegan?
Yes! Simply use dairy-free white chocolate chips and your favorite plant-based protein powder.
  • Is this recipe gluten-free?
Yes, as long as your popcorn, protein powder, and chocolate chips are certified gluten-free.
  • Can I use fresh strawberries?
No, fresh strawberries have too much moisture and would make the popcorn soggy. The freeze dried strawberries are needed to coat the popcorn and give all that amazing strawberry flavor!
  • How long does puppy chow popcorn stay fresh?
Store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Can I freeze it?
While you can freeze it, the texture is best when enjoyed fresh within a few days.
  • Can I use microwave popcorn?
Yes, but plain or lightly salted popcorn works best. Avoid buttery or heavily flavored varieties.
  • Do I have to use protein powder?
No! Simply use more powdered sugar and omit the protein powder!
