Ingredients

  • 1 pouch grapes (about 3 cups)
  • 2 small limes
  • 1/2-3/4 cup monk fruit
  • 1-3 tsp citric acid *optional but adds an AMAZING sour flavor! See notes! Linked it there as well!

Instructions

  • Wash & clean your grapes. Add them to a large bowl.
  • Juice the limes over top of them and give them a good toss. Then place the bowl in the fridge for 10 minutes or so.
  • In another bowl, combine the monk fruit and citric acid. You can mix it together and taste it to see if it's sour enough for you. If not, add another tsp of citric acid.
  • Toss the grapes in the sugar mixture and place on a parchment-lined baking tray in a single-layer. Then place in the freezer for 2-3 hours or until completely frozen.
  • Move to an air-tight container or baggie and store in the freezer!

Notes

Citric acid: Citric acid is a naturally occurring compound found in citrus fruits like lemons, limes, and oranges. It's what gives these fruits their tart, sour taste. In its powdered form, citric acid is a white, crystalline substance that’s commonly used in food and drinks to add a sour flavor, preserve freshness, or balance pH.
  • This is optional but I highly recommend using it - it's what gives the grapes their sweet and sour candy-like flavor! However, they're delicious just coated in lime and rolled in monk fruit as well (:
This is optional but definitely recommend! It adds sourness to the grapes and creates that perfect sweet and sour candy-like flavor!
