Whipped coffee (Dalgona coffee) has gone viral over the years and for good reason! It’s a creamy coffee whip beverage made with just equal parts of instant coffee or instant espresso, granulated sugar, & hot water. Instead of sugar, we are whipping the instant coffee with whipped honey to create the most delicious way to enjoy your morning coffee! It only takes only a few minutes to make with a hand mixer or stand mixer and can be used to make hot or iced coffee!
3tbspinstant coffee*it MUST be INSTANT Coffee or espresso! Ground coffee will not work. Instant eresso will be stronger in flavor so keep that in mind!
3tbsphot water
1tspvanilla extract
Basic Dalgona Coffee (without honey)
2tbspinstant coffee
2tbspgranulated sweetener
2tbspboiling water
Instructions
Note: i prefer the whipped honey version. It becomes extra thick and creamy compared to regular Dalgona coffee and i've noticed it keeps better as well, when storing leftovers!
Whipped honey coffee
Add the honey to the bowl of your stand mixer. WIth the whisk attachment, let the mixer run on high for 5-10 minutes until the honey doubles in size and becomes light, golden, creamy, and fluffy.
If using a hand mixer, this may take longer. Add in the vanilla extract, instant coffee, and water, then turn the mixer back on. Let it beat on the highest setting for another 5-10 minutes or so minutes until it's fluffy to your liking!
Use some of the whipped honey coffee immediately and then store leftovers in an air-tight container in the fridge.
Note: Play around with this recipe! If you use this and find it too strong in coffee flavor, use less coffee next time, but also use less water. The coffee and water ratio needs to be 1:1.
NOTE: This is a "concentrated" fluff, meaning it's NOT meant to be tasted by the spoonful - it'll be super strong! Add to milk, of choice before enjoying!
Add a big scoop or two to a glass of milk and ice or over a glass of warmed up milk, stir to combine, and enjoy!
Regular whipped Dalgona coffee (without honey)
Add all the coffee, sugar and boiling water in a bowl (you can easily double or triple this recipe). Using a hand mixer or stand mixer whip on high speed for about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides and whip any bits that didn't get whipped and whip again for a few seconds.
Store leftovers in an air-tight container in the freezer!
